Demand Maryland legislators close the multi-billion dollar school funding gap

We’re holding community forums across Maryland to push for the long-term funding our students and educators deserve.

WE MARCHED

We marched in Annapolis to demand Maryland legislators fix the school funding gap facing our public schools — and THEY LISTENED. In April, the General Assembly passed a bill to add $1.1 billion in new funding for improved salaries, staffing, and student programs over the next 3 years. It’s a great start — but our work is far from over.

Maryland General Assembly: Act now to fix the school funding formula

Now we need legislators to fulfill their promise to fix the school funding formula (which is nearly 20 years old!) and guarantee adequate funding for our public schools for the long term.

RSVP for a Community Forum Near You

We’re holding community forums across Maryland to push for the long-term funding commitment our students and educators deserve. Students need programs like career technical education, pre-k, and more that will prepare them for the jobs of the future and help our economy. And at a time when half of Maryland educators are working a second job to make ends meet, we need to do more to support the school employees who dedicate their lives to our kids.

We need you to show up for Maryland’s schools! Select the forum you’d like to attend and click register to RSVP now.
